Vidalia Onions are one of the signature crops grown in Georgia each year, and consumers eagerly await their arrival in farm markets and grocery stores.  This year, Mother Nature didn’t cooperate very well with the state’s Vidalia growers.  The Monitor’s Damon Jones visited Toombs County, in the heart of onion country, to see how this crop has fared.
