All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven- I read this for a book published this year. While I thought the writing itself was great and the book left me thinking, I was also disappointed in it. It was touted for lovers of Eleanor & Park and TFIOS (which I loved) and I really think there should be no comparison. It has a difficult subject matter, and one I feel should be addressed, but it also is very depressing and I worry about teens who do suffer from mental illness reading it.
The Witching Hour by Anne Rice is the first novel in her series "Lives of the Mayfair Witches." The novel begins the tale of a family of witches, and a spirit that has guided their fortunes for generations.
Easily one of my favorites from Stephen King. I love how descriptive he is & that you really begin to wonder what's real & whats imaginary. Some very interesting differences from the film version as well.
