As the second oldest lighthouse in Maryland and the oldest that is accessible to the public, the Concord Point Lighthouse is the Northern-most lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay. It was built in 1827 and is located in Havre de Grace. The first keeper was John O'Neill, who was a hero in the War of 1812 and is buried near the lighthouse. It was decommissioned in 1975 but still shines nightly.
