Vera Reynolds ~WAMPAS Baby Stars 1926 (1899-1962). A perky leading lady, she often appeared in comedies as a carefree flapper. Her film career began in 1917, before retiring soon after the arrival of talkies. She made 55 films throughout the 1920's. In 1926 she became a "WAMPAS Baby Star", an annual promotional gimmick that launched the careers of several actresses, although by then she was already established in Hollywood.

Joyce Compton (27 Jan 1907 - 13 Oct 1997) - American actress born in Lexington, KY. She was named a WAMPAS Baby Star in 1926 and appeared in a long string of mostly B-movies from the 1920s-1950s. She was a comedy actress and protested at being stereotyped as a "dumb blonde". She appeared in over 200 films. She was a devout Christian; her headstone even states "Christian Actress".
