Mary McFadden- An American designer who worked in the house of Dior and opened her own house in 1976. She was an anthropologist and collected textiles around the world as inspiration. She was inspired by Fortuny, Greek sculpture, Egyptian, Asian motifs, and African. Even her jewelry looked like anthropologic artifacts.
