Taking over a former Italian social club in West Footscray, Ovest's owners wanted to retain the authenticity and warmth of the building's original feel while taking a modern approach. Illustrations inspired by existing architectural elements were combined with bold poster graphics from vintage posters and Italian typography. We wanted the space to feel contemporary and reflect the high quality of the produce and service, without feeling cold or austere.
