The more iconic or representative look would be: 1920s: a T-strap; 1940s: Open-toed platform chunky heels with an ankle strap, 1950s: a little pointed-toe early stiletto court shoe; 1990s: Dr. Martens Oxfords or boots, although those chunky sandals are pretty '90s, too. And as much as I hate them, extremely high stiletto platforms in a plain beige pump are what I think of as THE look of the 2000s.

Jeffrey Campbell - Chunky Platform Boot JC Havana Collection. Gently worn. Some scuffs but you really can't notice. I'm sure you could get them small scuffs out with some black shoe polish.
