"Ithaca," now the Haley home, was built by R.L. Stone, one of the founders of Bassett Furniture, which would become the biggest manufacturer of wooden furniture during the 20th century. Doors to Ithaca will open to the public April 27 for Garden Day in Martinsville-Henry County, part of Historic Garden Week in Virginia.
