Oak Bark and White Fir Beer. This is a take on 2 old beer recipes, one for white fir beer (origin North America 17th Century) and oak bark beer (Medieval Europe). Both beers have been documented in several books. I used local foraged ingredients: White Fir, Costal Oak Bark and Dehydrated Lemons. The oak bark provides the bitterness (tannin) and fir provides the flavors (lemony, piney). Now we're drinking the local mountains. www.urbanoutdoorskills.com

Brewing a Summer Saison. Traditionally these beers were brewed for consumption by Belgian farm workers during the hot summer months. Fast forward to modern day and saisons have become so popular that they are brewed year round. There are now even seasonal variations, with spring, summer, autumn, and winter versions.
