The Wall Street Journal (7/29) reported that Spire has raised $25 million in funding to launch its constellation of nanosatellites. At the same time, Rocket Lab announced that it plans to launch its Electron rocket, which could launch microsatellites, in 2015. According to the article, both of these items demonstrate that investors are interested in commercial space projects.
