Clare Conrad aims to capture the poignant beauty and drama of weathering and corrosion. For many years Clare has experimented with methods of colour application to the surface of her pots, having been entranced by the peeling paint and sun-faded natural colours in Southern Europe. For Christmas, Clare has given us these delightful small vessels.
A small stoneware pebble vase inspired by the sea and shorelines of North Wales. Made from a white grogged clay it has been fired to 1240 C and is finished with a dry turquoise glaze outside and a clear shiny glaze inside so it can easily be used to ho.
