Nandina domestica -- >3ft, upright, spreading. Prefers moist, fertile soils and full sun to partial shade. Adaptable to soils and exposed sites. Flowers pink in bud and turns white with promi- nent yellow anthers borne on erect, long panicles in May–June. Appreciated for its distinctive foli- age, opening copper red and turning blue green in summer and red in the fall.
