Happy Throw Back Thursday! Stuck in the Mud, Stacey Avenue and Court Street, 1915.This photo aptly illustrates the traditional comment that accompanied the coming of the automobile - when the car wouldn’t go, someone was bound to say “get a horse”. In this view of a car mired to the axles in mud, a horse hitched to an unseen vehicle looks on. While downtown streets were paved in 1911, it was some years later before the side streets were done.
