I don't always paint vintage or retro items. I am not averse to painting modern furniture. In fact, that's how I started. Being transient for most of the past two decades we would only buy cheap, modern furniture. I would paint or decoupage them to fit into my style of interior at the time. More recently I painted melamine drawers for my boys' bedroom. A lick of bright, bold paint totally transformed this beige, blah drawer.
