Here's an activity where students learn about rocket stability by constructing and flying small “indoor” paper rockets, then analyzing flight data and interpreting the results.

Soda-Straw Rocket Activity – Study rocket stability as you design, construct and launch paper rockets using soda straws.

Bucket list: experience zero gravity.

Experience Zero Gravity

Bucket list: experience zero gravity although I don't want to go to space.

We go about our daily lives understanding almost nothing of the world. We give little thought to the machinery that generates the sunlight that makes life possible, to the gravity that glues us to an Earth that would otherwise send us spinning off into space, or to the atoms of which we are made and on whose stability we fundamentally depend… why nature is the way it is; where the cosmos came from, or whether it was always here.. ~ Carl Sagan

Its the dim star, not the bright one, near the center of NGC 3132 that created this odd but beautiful planetary nebula. Nicknamed the Eight-Burst Nebula and the Southern Ring Nebula, the glowing gas originated in the outer layers of a star like our Sun.

Saturn's rings were imaged in their true colors by the robotic Cassini in late October. Icy bright Tethys, a moon of Saturn likely brightened by a sandblasting rain of ice from sister moon Enceladus, is visible in front of the darker rings.

Designing the interior of a spacecraft may be more difficult than you think. When dealing with long tearm confinement, everything from the shape of a chair to the color of the wall could have an effect on a crew members mental stability. This is truly a mix of design, engineering and straight forward problem solving.
