It has been reintroduced in Kenya; however, the individuals there are thought to be declining due to poaching. Currently, fewer than 470 individuals of this Endangered subspecies are estimated to be left in Uganda and Kenya. Rothschild's Giraffe is one of the most imperilled Giraffe subspecies
