St Mungo Cathedral, or the High Kirk of Glasgow, is one of the few churches to have survived the Reformation, during which many churches were sacked and torn down.  This is the Quire of the church, which dates from the middle of the 13th century.  It was formerly the Catholic mother church of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.
