Their breeding habitat is near bogs or lakes in coniferous forest across western Canada and Alaska. They nest in conifers, sometimes on the ground.

Magnificent Frigatebird.  (saw this in the Fl Keys, 1986.  Similar to the Great Frigatebird, which is found in the Pacific Ocean.  Frigatebirds are powerful fliers & pirates, robbing other birds of their food.)
