This Portrait of Magritte was taken by Lothar Wolleh. He was born on November 21, 1898. His mother committed suicide when he was 14. When the body was found, there was a cloth covering her face. Ever since then, Magritte painted pictures with various objects covering people's faces just like his mother covered her face. Some of his paintings are, The Lost Jockey, The Mirror, Black Magic, and many more. He died on August 15, 1967 of pancreatic cancer.
