These homemade dill pickles are so tasty and easy to make. They taste much better than store bought pickles except for Mrs. White's, my favourite. You can make them spicier by adding hot peppers to the brine.

Yummy Dill Pickles  8-10 lbs cukes  Brine 1 qt white vinegar 3 qts water 1 cup canning salt  Cut pickles in quarters lengthwise and pack in hot sterilized qt jars. Add 2 cloves garlic, 2 heads of dill or 2 tsp of dill seed and 1dried red pepper. Boil brine solution and pour into jars. Seal with canning lids that have been sterilized in boiling water. Put jars in pantry for 3 weeks for flavor to develope.
