This may seem like a no-brainer, but if you haven’t placed mirrors in the right places around the home, you may be seeing things all wrong. To get the most out of a reflective surface, place it opposite any aspect of nature—the outdoors seen through a window or where your indoor plants are placed—or in a dark space in the home, such as at the end of a long hallway. In general, a large mirror positioned obliquely to the entrance of a room will create the illusion of more space.
