2.VINCA MINOR (also known as PERIWINKLE) - small shiny leaves, small violet star-shaped flowers in spring and then intermittently during summer and autumn. Good ground cover. Vinca is evergreen and low-lying and gradually spreads, so needs to be kept under control. Shade ok.
Red Four O' Clock - drops seeds readily and multiply quickly. Attracts hummingbirds. Works well in all soil conditions and is drought resistant. These are part of the nightshade family - meaning all parts of the plant are poisonous so don't put near where children play!
