Jabiru Stork; Tallest flying bird found in Central  South America. 47–55" long, 7.5–9.2' wingspan. Large males may stand 5 ft. Beak is black and broad, measures 9.8–14". Plumage mostly white, head  black  featherless with a stretchable red pouch at the base. Sexes similar but male is larger. Lives in large groups near rivers and ponds. They nested in Crooked Tree, Belize where I lived.
