Take a simple, ho-hum image, and chop it up into three panels. Add a mat to each and there you go, ho-hum becomes something with interest.  You try it. Find a simple image you love, and stamp away. You will need something that can fill a 3" space. In my case I stamped several times, not re-inking the image.
