The Recreio Beach, approximately 2 km long, extends from the Barra da Tijuca Reserve to the Sernambetiba Pontal, called Pontal Tim Maia in honor of the singer. This beach has the strongest waves and the cleanest waters in the Rio de Janeiro coast.
