How to Cook Pasta in a Rice Cooker I used half a box of Barilla angel hair pasta and broke it in half so it would fit. Added water enough to cover the pasta. Added a teaspoon or so of olive oil and mixed it with the pasta and water. Turned the cooker on and checked it about every 8 minutes. It was done in 18 minutes and then I set it to warm and then just turned it off so it wouldn't overcook. Came out al dente and perfecto!
