Leo Gausson (1860 - 1944) was a French innovative artist, an enthusiastic participant in two movements that arose in quick succession, Neo-Impressionism and Synthetism based on different aesthetic conceptions. The work of Gausson becomes particularly innovative in 1886 when he produced works according to the study of simultaneous contrast. Continuing his research, he turned logically to Synthetism, which allows him to represent the intensity of certain effects of nature.
