Artichoke’s little legs flew as he chased the seagull. Ella watched him reach the end and screech to a stop. “We’ve almost got him,” she huffed as she sped up. “Artichoke!” He looked back as she yelled. Then a flock of seagulls flew by and swooped under the pier, catching his attention. He backed up and took a flying leap. Right off the end of the pier.
