With the discovery of female figurines in 2005, the allocation of the Zaraisk / Zaraysk site to the Kostienki-Avdeevo culture is in no doubt.     It is worth noting a sculpture of a bison, in a style completely unknown in the Gravettian.     There is a large spread of radiocarbon dating and many microstratigraphic details raise the issue of continuity of tenure of the site. More than 20 dates between 15 600 ± 300 BP and 23 000 ± 400 BP were obtained.
