Two-Faced Helmet Mask wanyugo Côte d'Ivoire Senufo 20th century Wood L.: 74 cm - Although there are virtually none of these effigies in Western collections because they are too sacred, the bicephalous masks of the Senufo have been well-known for a long time. They are the most impressive examples of the style specific to this region, in their size, decoration and skilful, harmonious use of forms.
