The Friesian is a horse breed originating in Friesland, Netherlands. Although the breed's conformation resembles that light draft horse, Friesians are graceful and nimble for their size. During the Middle Ages, it is believed that the ancestors of Friesian horses were in great demand as war horses throughout continental Europe.
Friesian Horses do not breath through their mouth, they only breath through the nose, and they do not have a gall bladder. A Friesian Horse have a better senses of hearing or smell than humans, and their ears can turn in different directions to give them better hearing.
