'THE SUNNY SOUTH' (1885) | Walter Langley (1852-1922): Oil on canvas. 'Shows Langley's neighbour William Curnow, a renowned bryologist (expert in mosses) who actually has a type of moss named after him - Curnow's pocket moss. Langley was the first of the "Newlyn School" artists to settle in the village, in 1882.
