Marine Lance Cpl. Jason K. Burnett Died May 11, 2006 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 20, of St. Cloud, Fla.; assigned to the 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died May 11 in a vehicle accident in the Anbar province, Iraq.
Army SPC Michael S. Deem, 35, of Rockledge, Florida. Died February 24, 2005, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died in his sleep of a of a non-combat related illness, later diagnosed as an enlarged heart, in Baghdad, Iraq.
Air Force Capt David A. Wisniewski, 31, of Moville, Iowa. Died July 2, 2010, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 66th Rescue Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Died of injuries sustained June 9, 2010, near Forward Operating Base Jackson, Afghanistan, when his HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter was hit by enemy fire and crashed while attempting to evacuate wounded British troops near FOB Jackson, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
Army CW2 Charles S. Jones, 34, of Lawtey, Florida. Died January 28, 2005, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died of injuries sustained when the OH-58 Kiowa helicopter he was piloting hit power lines and crashed while providing poorly illuminated, fast and low air support for ground troops in Baghdad, Iraq.
Army SSG Jude R. Jonaus, 27, of Miami, Florida. Died September 6, 2005, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to Brigade Troops Battalion, Division Support Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. Died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat operations in Baghdad, Iraq.
