... today my evening activity was baking a bread for breakfast :) this recipe is so easy but you have to be patient because the dough has to rise for at least 12 hours... so I usually prepare the dough in the morning. OMG! I am in heaven!! <3 Today [for the first time!!] I made homemade prezel buns! I have always loved all kinds of prezel, but that these homemade prezel buns would turn out sooo good I didn't expect! ... I love trying out new things! A dear friend of mine has an elderflower bush in her backyard and she encouraged me to have a go at making homemade 'Elderberry Syrup'. It was my first try and it's actually quite easy ;-) ... it's sweet and yummy!

... I just love trying out new recipes! Few days ago I found a recipe how to make "Joghurt-Hörnchen" (some kind of croissant) and of course I had to try it out :) It's not so easy to make a puff pastry but I tried my best. The Joghurt-Hörnchen turned out quite well and my hubby also liked them :) But next time I will try to make it more fluffily by creating more layers of dough and butter. ... I just made some Nut Bars :D it is so easy and they smell & taste so yummie!! The ingredients are: 100 g Butter, 200 g Honey, 350 g different nuts and a pinch of salt. Mix all the ingredients in a hot pan and spread the mixture in a cake pan. It has to bake in the oven for 20 minutes (190 degree celsius). Let it cool down and cut it into pieces. Voila!

... today we ate the leftovers from yesterday. We were invited to a fun-evening with potluck and I made fried noodles :). Since I still had dried chilis at home I decided to also make a homemade sambal today.

... 😃 I finally made my own Onde-Onde, one of my most favorite Malaysian kuih (sweets/cakes). They didn't turn out round because the dough was a little too soft, but who cares ;) They taste really good! But next time I will definitely put more Palm Sugar in it. This dessert uses screwpine (pandan) leaves, palm sugar and is coated with shredded coconut.

Today I did both ;-) for the first time I tried to make a so called "poppy-seed plaited bun" (Mohnstriezel) and I love it!!
