A Soldier cheering up his Comrades.

Army specialist, David Brandrowsky, huddled in the corner of his room with a gun to his head. Before he pulled the trigger, Benny, his service dog, knocked the gun out of his hand. Benny saved his life. Support service dogs and soldiers with PTSD...please.

In this photo, Army SSG Leslie Langford gives his Specialized Search Dog, Darko, a lift across a very cold river in Afghanistan. It's winter there, and the temps were hovering around freezing that day. Besides not wanting Darko to have to deal with the painfully cold water, Langford had found out on their way to Afghanistan via Kuwait that Darko is scared of water. The German shorthaired pointer wanted absolutely nothing to do with the pool on the base.
