Kate studied with America’s most Impressionists, William Merritt Chase. Kate became known as one of Chase’s most accomplished disciples. She returned to her home in Holly Springs with a legacy to thrive throughout eternity; Kate bequeathed as a part of her estate hundreds of paintings and sketches to the people of Holly Springs.
