Berndnaut Smilde is a contemporary artist living and working in Amsterdam. Smilde is interested in the temporal nature of construction and deconstruction, visualised most famously through his Nimbus series.

Then, he sprays a short burst from a fog machine to create a cottony cloud suspended in the middle of the room for just an instant before it collapses.
