Dress, boy's, blue cotton chambray,  1829-1830, Light blue cotton chambray; empire waist with inset 2" waistband; cartridge pleated skirt; elbow-length cartridge pleated sleeves with 1" cuffs; wide scoop neck; bodice gathered horizontally from shoulders to center of bodice under chin; 1.5" growth tuck taken in on skirt 6" up from bottom; scrolled white soutache around waistband, cuffs, and above tuck,  bodice portion lined in white cotton; closes with brass hooks and eyes up center back.
