I think this is 14th..I find the asymmetrical construction interesting. I saw how a friend did these weirdly inserts. might actually try this, though I'll probably cheat in the front and have a middle seam
The Kragelund, found in 1898. the man wore a kirtle of coarse woolen cloth, legs were, short leather boots on feet, laced over the instep. Dated to the 12th or 13th Century, a recent date the tunic to circa 1100. The garment has two gores in the front, two in the back, and two on either side, all of them gathered into the points. The front and back gores, no seems. The edges were simply sewn down with an overcast stitch.
