Good on a north or east facing wall, on the other side of our garden. Commonly known as Guinea Hen flower, this woodland bulb grows as a multicolored mix of pure white and white-checkered reddish-purple nodding bells.
UK wild flowers: Fritillary (Fritillaria meleagris ) This is our most exotic flower. The reason fritillaries are now so rare is that, as bulbs, they can be destroyed by just one ploughing of a site where they may have been for centuries.
Aloe vera works much like the snake plant – it emits oxygen at night, making for a more restful sleep. It is also one of the easiest plants to grow and maintain – it tolerates ‘neglect’ well and so doesn’t require frequent watering.
