Crumbling History by Priya Ghose - This is a photograph I took while exploring the former Packard Automotive Plant in Detroit, Michigan. Exploring the plant was a unique experience full of thrilling, beautiful, and heartbreaking discoveries, and it will stick with me forever.

The most colossal abandoned site in Detroit is the old Packard Automotive Plant that was once a 3,500,000-square-foot (325,000 m2) factory producing luxury Packard cars. Built in 1903 this was once considered a state of the art factory. The company merged with Studebaker in 1954 and by the late 1950′s the demand for large luxury vehicles was declining.
