Table snuff box,1770-75. Queen Mary (Acquired 1867-1953). Bloodstone, vari-coloured gold, foiled diamonds. Made for Frederick II of Prussia; probably inherited by Frederick William III of Prussia and given to his daughter, Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna; thence by descent to Tsar Nicholas II; seized by the Soviet authorities 1917.
Emile Galle - Walnut and Marquetry Inlaid Casket, circa 1900. Signed with inlaid signature Gallé. Inlaid with tulips and with applied carved whiplashes framing each side, the hinged cover carved with foliate motifs to each corner and enclosing a void interior, the bronze escutcheon cast as a moth.
