Cheesman Park in Denver, CO.  The expanse of lawn you are looking at is almost certainly the site of several occupied graves.  The park was a cemetary, and the contractor hired in 1893 to move the bodies didn't move ALL the bodies.  The neighborhood surrounding the park (some of it built on reclaimed cemetary) is said to be one of the most haunted in the US.  Links to Wiki's history of the park.
