In 2006, my mom traveled solo across the country, from WA to MA, for a Jeep Jamboree, staying at KOA campgrounds and some hotels along the way. When she got to Pennsylvania, her Jeep broke down--3000 miles from home and her handyman father! She took it into Mechanicsville, PA trembling in fear at how much it would cost to fix. It turned out it only needed a tube that cost $10 to replace. Mom was HUGELY relieved, but she was so shaken up that she didn't do the Jamboree after all!
