Art by stirringwind.tumblr.com From the artist: in norse mythology, the twilight of the gods, or ragnarok, is prophesised to result in the deaths of many of the gods- and the creation of a fertile new world. it’s safe to say that had ww2 not occurred, the world today would be very very different. It destroyed the old european empires and made America a superpower- and shaped the twentieth and twenty-first century in so many other ways."
