In 2011, as part of her MFA Degree Show, Shelton Walker started to draw the GSA Library's entire Artists' Books Collection - that's over 1,000 books! Each book was rendered in exquisite detail in its own pencil drawing, with the drawings then collectively stored in a shipping container moored on the Forth and Clyde Canal in Glasgow ready for transport to the ocean.

Kathryn McCain's installation was created for the MFA Interim Show in May 2010. Taking as her departure point the recent banking crisis and subsequent economic recession, Kathryn sought to borrow every copy of Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations available for loan in Glasgow, including the GSA Library's own copies. These collected loans were then installed in the GSA's Mackintosh Museum space.
