One can assume three months of cattle driving leaves hard working, sweaty cowboys in need of a bath! Back in the 1800's and early 1900's, men would bathe in watering holes only every so often. There was an idea floating around that the water could make people sick. Even so, women would bathe in their homes, however, this "bathing" would consist of a pitcher of water and a quick wipe down.
