This is a cute song I sing with my class to help them remember the differences between a carnivore, herbivore, and omnivore. As an extension activity, I have the students take a classic tune/song and rewrite the lyrics using their knowledge of science.

Motion: Push and Pull, Fast and Slow. This book helps explain the different ways to make an object move and the different directions objects can move. I would like to include this book in my lessons, either by having students read it during centers and do an activity to align with it, or by introducing an activity/experiment by reading it to the class.

States of matter science activities

States of Matter Science Activities including a poem that students can learn to help them better understand the difference between solids, liquids and gasses.

Students could match the animal to its habitat independently or in groups! Could be adapted to fit the animals we introduced in class. This would be a wonderful way to test the knowledge for ELL's because it is visual!

This would go with a lesson on habitats. I would cut out the flash cards and incorporate this activity into the centers, so that the kids could practice matching the specific animals, with the proper habitats.
