Flip Glass (upper right) as seen in the South Parlor of the Atwood House. Flip was a Colonial era alcoholic drink. An Old Flip Recipe: 1 Pint Ale, 2 Eggs, 1 Pinch Ground Nutmeg, 1 1/2 Pinches Ground Clove, 2 Tablespoons Sugar. The Eggs and Spices are beaten together. Ale is heated to the boiling point, then poured over the egg mixture, stirring rapidly while pouring. Add sugar then pour the mixture from one container to another until it thickens. #atwoodhouse, #flipglass, #flip
