Men often wore doublets and houppelandes. Clothing hung on the wearer and was layered. They also used a hose and pedules or shoes. Headdress was also important. Men wore headdresses (almost resemble tires) called a roundlet and carried pouches for alms. By the later Gothic period, doublets are shorter and the hose are shewn. Hair was cut short like a bob-cut and was left jaw length.
